Does anyone know if a CCVP Can call themselves an Engineer within there job title? Is there any rule against this or anything that would stop someone from doing so?
I am an IP Covergence Engineer and as such I have had some flack from my manager, he wants to change the engineer part to specialist? any thoughts????

In my opinion, you are an engineer. A CCVP is a professional level certification and in turn, I would consider professional level certification holders engineers. I am a CCNA working towards my CCVP and I am an engineer.

You can call your self anything you want, as long as you can do the job.
CCVP can be called as a engineer technician, administrator, the one I like this one the best Technology evangelists on business card :) Any one with or without certification can call them self engineer as long as you can do the job. Faisal Khan VoiceBootcamp.com
